John,
I know I'm really looking forward to it and I think to anyone who has ever used this forum it means a LOT!!!! Thank you very much for supporting the NE RUG as we truly appreciate your time and always enjoy your great presentations!
I will be presenting as well on how my company uses...
Just wanted to let everyone know that the New England Regional User Group meeting is scheduled for November 6th at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester, Mass and registration is now open. It's looking to be another great meeting with tons of presentations in 4 separate tracks --> CAD, CAM, CAE and...
EEX23,
Deforming the straight line into an arc is my square peg in a round hole.... the only way I could see this working is possibly through law curves but for what its worth I don't have the time to figure it out. I'm just going to create another part that has the deform shape in it.
Has any one found a way to create a rivet that can be deformed into a mushroom shape? It could be the weather this morning but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to constrain/control the sketch that is flat in the purchased form into a part that is mushroom shaped. It feels like I'm trying...
Tomas,
Good read... that is exactly what I'm doing . We actually implemented the technique you mentioned first but we ran into issues with releasing the individual operation files (we use teamcenter and only have the basic wave license). So lets say when you have 10 ops and all are released but...
I realized that the extracted bodies are making my file huge and not the ref sets, but this situation also causes for a large number or reference sets. It would be nice if I could have the option of time stamp along with ref sets and arrangements when choosing how to display my components .
ER =...
I think I know the answer = no..... but just wondering is there any way to places views of a model at different time-stamps on drawing or into an assembly? Kinda like reference sets but with time stamps of the same body?
Currently the only way I found to do this to take extracted bodies and...
Registration begins today! Remember there is $10 off for those who sign up before Oct 1st.
Looks like there will be a lot of good material on NX CAD, NX CAE, NX CAM and Teamcenter!
See attached pdf for the preliminary agenda (still a work in progress)...
Just as a heads up, I wanted to let everyone know that the New England Regional User Group annual meeting is scheduled for October 30th 2012 at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester, MA. Registration begins Sept 4 and will end October 16. The cost is $50 a person (includes lunch) and there will be...
Might have made changes in 8 but still no documentation on what making the group active actually does... got some feedback from GTAC and they shared the 8.5 docs with me but I still does not explain what happens with the time stamp order and or why the time stamp order just goes random depending...
My self and others in my group have been experiencing some unexpected things with feature groups and time stamp order....
Sometime when going back and making the feature group active to make some changes or additions to the group we noticed when upon making it inactive members of the feature...
Is there a way to check if the file is a UGmaster or a UGpart in NXopen vb.net (NX7.5)?
Reason being is that I created a quick program that runs off the part callbacks (Save, SaveAs) that will populate attributes but I only want them created in the UGmaster. (They then get mapped to the...
Yeagsman85,
Didn't mean to leave you hanging, I looked around and couldn't find any notes but looks like Cowski saved the day :)
To point to the model = select the model in the reference part area
If you take a look @ the NX help --> Teamcenter Integration for NX there is a section on...
I think so, using that method you would have to have the model in TC... so that it would know which file to reference?
I ran across this a few years back and had a hell of time with it. I want to say that what ended up working was having everything in one folder and messing with non-master...
When you import your Drawing change the part file type to specification (instead of master) (you can change this in the output number dialog that appears after you execute)... it will then prompt you for the file to reference...select the master model that is should reference
Hope this helps
Going a while back (NX2 or 4), there was a user abort short cut... in my hand written notes I have it as Ctrl + Shift + L (who knows if this was custom or not) Does this still exist? Did it ever exist??
If it does, whats the short cut?
Here's why I wanted it, placing a view of a large assy...
As a side note, what would work out even better than being able to sort/reorder ref-sets would be to be able to select a time stamp to show the model at when drafting/applying view (I heard other software allows for this) This way I wouldn't have to deal with a ton of extracted bodies and a ton...
