Just to tag along to the original question, ST2 gives you the capability to edit a diameter/radius via a specific value, whether you placed it there or not. You can't change a diameter/radius by dragging the steering wheel though.

I still get the white texture no matter what format I use. I tried printing to .jpg and edrawings, and both don't show the correct image.
I think it's a problem with SolidWorks not rendering the surfaces correctly. I've reported it to my VAR to investigate but have not heard back.

We have a VAR recommended video card and driver. Printer is up to date, but like I said this happens when saving to .pdf, not necessarily printing to .pdf. Also, it does happen on other machines in my department.

Thanks for your input. We like to core our initial holes because of porosity problems. We've found if we machine away too much then we're potentially left with weak threads because the aluminum doesn't always fill as desired.

I've had this same problem with large assemblies. Turns out SolidWorks would hide them for some reason, and a 'show annotations' would bring them back. Also, I had my drawing view locked. When I unlocked it and moved it slightly, the balloons would appear again.
