It's the plug-in that provoked my "theory". I don't have Rhino to verify but it appears to me that the 'import' from Rhino can be treated somewhat as a SW feature. I don't know the specifics but from what I understand you can import from Rhino to SW, go back to Rhino, edit, and then replace...
I'm looking for feedback on those of you that may do work in both Rhino & SW 2007. How well do they work together now? Any opinion on wether the two will create a closer relationship in the future? To me it looks as if SW may be possibly creating a relationship with Rhino to counter...
After it had been converted and saved it is smaller to start with but increases with each save. You can actually just re-open and do nothing but save and the file size will keep increasing.
Anyone experiencing bizarre behavior in file sizes creeping up for no reason? Small parts aren't an issue but I had a part that was about 110MB from SW2006 that's up to 472MB w/o much for changes. We've reported and captured the issue with our VAR and is being sent to SW.
I have a CadMan that will continue to rotate after I've let go. a 'Zoom To Fit' corrects it, although temporarily. I've contacted support previously and had no solution at the time. Time to try again.
ewh,
Does your model just start rotating for no good reason? I had this happen and...
I've done some more digging and it's down to ShapeWorks and GeometryWorks3D as the best options in my case, and maybe yours. I'm told both are around $1,000.
The differences as I see are ShapeWorks is more of a free form package and GeometryWorks3D is a high precision surfacing package...
Looking for something I can use for a handheld medical device where asthetics and ergonomics are a big part. I as well want to keep parametrics within the model so this limits my choices to integrated products. The push/pull software you mention, would that be ShapeWorks?
I am in need of more surfacing capabilites (for plastic molded parts) than SolidWorks offers out of the box. These are listed as partners:
SurfaceWorks
Alias StudioTools
ShapeWorks
GeometryWorks3D
Can I get some feedback from anyone who has used any of these programs?
Thanks!

I'm working on a fairly complex model that incorporates both surfacing and solids. I have a cut extrude feature that when mirrored doesn't measure the same as the initial feature. When taking measurements from various points of the mirrored feature to the center plane will show a difference...
Clicking ahead is a problem for me as well. When you know what you want to do next it can be hard to have patience to wait for the program to catch up. I've just learned to save, and save often. The biggest problem may just be the platform SolidWorks is running on. I REALLY wish SolidWorks...
I believe all understood your post. I just redownloaded the file again. I haven't replaced the files but solidworks.chm is still in Spanish. So it appears not to fixed yet, but I'm sure it will be shortly.

Still Spanish. I don't think the problem lies within the help files. When I open any of the files direct from the swHelpEnglish.exe download they show up in English. Just when "Help" is launched from SW does it show up in Spanish.
