I am doing an FEA on a flange using solid elements for the flange and beam elements for the bolts. When classifying
the stresses using Div. 2 criteria, what allowable stress should I use for the beam elements?
Thanks.

The vessel code of construction is unknown. The vessel was built in 1964 for use as a test head.
The client wants to know what is the mawp if designed per ASME Div. 1.
I need the yield and tensile stress values and also the allowable stress of a similar Code material if this material is not...
I am working on a vessel with a body flange material of ASTM A-27 GR 70. Can anyone give me the yield and tensile stress values and also the allowable stress at 70 deg. F?
Thanks in advance.

Anyone familiar with the seismic section of the Kentucky
Building Code (2002 or 2003)?
I am doing a seismic analysis of a vessel and need the formula for the seismic design force (Fp).
Is it the same as the International Building Code 2000?
Thank you in advance.

I wrote a program in MathCad 2000 a
while back and would like to convert
it to a Windows .exe file.
I don't know VB I was hoping there
was a painless method of doing this?

If you are designing the flanges as flat faced (metal to metal contact outside the bolt circle) I have the Class 1, Category 1 programed in Mathcad. Let me know if you could use it. I would be happy to share it with you.
