Hi,

I am looking for detailing guidance for detailing reinforcement to satisfy AASHTO requirements particularly for a hollow concrete rectangular column subjected to seismic zone 4 requirements.

The column has plan dimensions of 16m x 14.8m and the walls on the 16m side is 1.4m and the other wall thickness is 1.8m.

I have gone through the various clauses in AASHTO pertaining to anchorage of longitudinal reinforcement and tie rebar requirements.

Will still appreciate any good reference with practical sketches.

regards,

Hi All,

Please can someone assist with this query?

Try the structural forum. This one is a bit of a back water.

Perhaps show your design and say is this good rather than seeming to ask for free engineering?
