Referencing sub-body geometry

Hi folks,

I have a sketch used by a pad feature within a sub-body which is then removed from a parent body. I have set the pad feature as the Work Object and I'm able to see my sub-body in the context of the parent body. I edit the sketch to try to use an edge from the sub-body but when I open the sketch my sub-body disappears from view and I'm only able to see the parent body (now shown red as it needs updating because I'm changing the sketch) and I cannot pick the edge in need in my sub-body. Outside the sketch, I have tried the option to show Only [the] Current Body and only my sub-body is shown but when I open my again sketch everything disappears (sub-body too) and all I can see is my sketch geometry.

The behaviour is exactly the same whether I access the sketch from within the pad feature or from the Geom Set it's resident in.

How do I edit the sketch with the sub-body still visible (and its geometry selectable)?

Many thanks

Thanks jackk, but as I wrote, it's already in a Geom Set and it behaves in exactly the same way regardless

there are "show" options in the Sketch as well... "usual", "low light" and "no 3D backround"
