Shakedown strain hardening question

My understanding is that during shakedown cyclic loading will cause a structure to initially plastically deform, but strain hardening will allow the structure to shakedown into elastic action. The limit for this is 3*Sm (generally 2*Sy).

What if the part is made of material that is strain hardened during manufacturing (cold worked)? Does the 2*Sy limit still apply using Sy of the material after strain hardening, or would you need to use Sy of the material before it was strain hardened?
 
Incorrect. This effect is independent of strain hardening - it is premised on an assumption that the material behaves elastic-perfectly-plastic. Please review the explanation provided in the "Criteria Document" from 1972 - also provided in ASME PTB-1 (2104).
