How to Air-Seal Oval Tube into Hole!

Hello! I would like some pointers and advice on how would one be able to create an air-sealed fit for a tube into a hole. Air and gas would be flowing through these tubes often and the tube would undergo shocks and impulses a lot so I'm looking for ways to reliably create a secure line of oval tubes into -- let's say-- pipe nuts or something like that.

I've read up that O-rings are often used to do exactly this for circular tubes. I was hoping to apply this method to oval or elliptical tubes, but the stretch is not recommended by Parker NA and O-rings usually don't come in non-circular sizes.

Any thoughts? Thank you!

What's a "pipe Nut"? terminology I'm not familiar with. Drawings, pictures or sketches avoids much confusion here.

Relative Sizes?

No reason why an O ring which is essentially a rubber band ( actually why not use rubber bands?) would not fit a smooth oval shape. Just need to get an equivalent OD size right.
 
In the rocket biz we would braze shaped, ovalized tubes into header pipes to form interesting bits of gear like rocket nozzles and combustion chambers. Welding would likely work too, if you design the joint for weld access. As LI said, no reason that the oring has to be used in a round joint, they squeeze into all kinds of shapes, including automotive engine valve covers.

Hi again! Sorry for the late reply! Here's the "pipe nut" I mentioned and the rough dimensions of the Polycarbonate tube I plan to ask for a sizing quote of. Dimensions are in inches and the thickness is 0.0625". I'd like a way to 1. connect the tube into that hole you see front of the pipe nut and 2. Be able seal-tight this connection, my superiors have made this exact setup for circular tubes and they used O-Ring's just find. I am hoping to approach the oval tube set up in a similar way but I'm not too experienced. Thank you!

Edit 1: This tube would be filled with gas and will be ignited frequently sending shocks and other types of disturbances. My goal is to create an air-sealed connection for the tube and this (3D printed) pipe nut in a way that repetition of ignitions and fast flowing gases wouldn't corrode the sealing material without meticulous replacement.
