Hi all,
ASME B16.5 doesn't specify the tolerance for scoket depth in scoket weld flange.
Please help me find the answer.

See this and scroll down to my comment.

Is that what you mean?

If you are asking about insertion depth of pipe into a socket weld flange what is your construction / fabrication code ?
You will not find what you are looking for in B16.5

gkvengat,

I think this is the section you are looking for.

7.7.3 is tolerance for dimension B,while the question is about D. I didn’t find any requirement in the standard.
Depth might be a non-critical dimension and can be confirmed by manufacturer

Socket depth is usually given as a minimum. No tolerance.
