Hi,

I'm facing an issue with an offset surface of a swept body. It seems that the swept doesn't produce a body with seperate faces and therefore the offset can't be calculated correctly.
I want to use the swept later to substract it from a body and thats why I need to offset some of the faces.

Is there a way I need to setup the sketch to have the faces properly divided? I'm running Siemens version 1957.

A litte background info, I'm a mechanical engineer with about 8 years of experience in multiple CAD programms including Creo, Inventor and since the beginning of this year, Siemens. I still struggle with the way Siemens has things implemented in comparison to Creo. In Creo the feature would have been "swept-blend".

TY

There is an option in the swept dialog box called "preserve shape", turn this on whenever your section has sharp corners that you need to maintain.
