What is the manufacturing process of XLPE cables?

These days, they normally use a triple extrusion process, where the conductor semi con screen insulation and insulation semicon screen are laid in the one process. The line can be vertical (more often used on higher voltage systems say over 100kV) or catenary (horizontal, hanging between two points). Vertical gives better concentricity of the core and insulation especially for larger cables.

Is that enough?
