Here is some more info. that I probably should have previously included.
What this is is a Aquabot. An Aquabot is a motorized pool cleaning machine. It has electric propeller pump and seperately has another box that contains the circuitboard with some drive gears. The propeller pump pulls...
I have taken apart an electic motor that has a circuit board in it. Little did I know that there was also some type of oil inside it. I thought it was water at first since it wasn't working, that's why I took it apart, and by the time I realized it was some type of lubricant/coolant it was...
A lot of people provided feedback and I thank you all for the quick responses.
I did give a star to "the one who rants" because all I was looking for was could it be done not necessarily if it was right or wrong.
If your boss tells you to do a drawing but it's not standard are you not going...
Wow, that's a lot of responses for just overnight. Thanks mncad for seeing the question. I agree that this is not a good thing to do and I don't do it but the guy was told to make the drawing exactly like the paper drawing that he had in front of him. We do this sometimes since we are part of...
I had the question posed to me how to show, on a drawing, the material to be removed. For example let's say you start w/ a rec. bar stock 12" long. Then you cut that down to 8". How do you do a drawing and show the 8" in a solid line type yet show the 4" that was removed in phantom or...
Thanks for all the feedback. That is kind-of what I thought. Eventually we will probably look at writing something to make it easier for everyone. There's not much you can do to stop the tinkerers.
Looking for feedback on what others are doing. We have 60 people that can print to multiple prints/plotters. The issue is one day a person will print a drawing on 11x17 and is happy. The next day they try to print 11x17 and get it on 8.5x11. I'm sure some settings were changed or they...
I've used these people before to do a bi-directional conversion between Catia and SW. I've also had them do SW to Pro-E with design tables. The cost isn't bad and they really listen to your needs and tell you what they can do.
Here's their web site http://www.translationtech.com/
We were able to fix that problem by just adding to the security section of the Bluebeam printer under everyone "Allow Manage Printers" & "Allow Manage Documents". So far that's worked for us and those people are not Power Users.
I'm going to have to readup on how to do that. I'm pretty new to programming. I stumbled across this and it kind-of worked like I wanted. Thanks for the advice.
I've got the db in the correct location. . . . .
I got it to work. I still don't know why I was getting that error though. What I did was edited the file in Notepad and deleted the dup's and resaved it. I had another guy test it and it worked for him.
I've got a custom material db that works in 04 4.1 I can add materials and everything works fine. We are in the process of going to 05 3.0 I've tried using that db in 05 and I get a duplicate material name. Has anyone seen this or provide something to try to fix it. I've noticed that the...
I've got a macro that colorizes an assembly. I can get it to colorize it the first time but it should keep randomly appling colors, everytime you run the macro.
'Dim swApp As Object
'Set swApp = Application.SldWorks
