Actually as the plant is an old one and documents were not delivered thru the take over we dont have documentation. Same is valid for other items like valves etc.
I believe there could be an api standard that describes such pipes.

I know selecting the valve material for a specific application is not easy but are there any literature that I can work on? I have Norsok Material Selection doc, api 553 refinery control valves doc which indicates some guideways.

As far as I know there some ball valves for hydro plants called spherical valves. There are very few manufacturers for this application. One is Adams Armaturen CH Plant.
This plant is only for Hydro valves and they have also references in USA and Europe.
I am working on a project specs and it asks for butterfly valve with dry shaft design. Media is seawater. As I searched on the web, I saw that mostly concentric btv vendors are naming their product as dry shaft design. Is it so?

maybe it has been some time from the last thread but Adams armaturen from germany have many references for such applications. They have also facilities in US. You can ask them for help. We also applied them to Iron steel factory cooling lines. New valves will be delivered in may DN1400
