I'm sorry unclesyd but your link dod not work, never mind. Ok here are some more details. The start of taper is 150mm dia end of taper is 146.25 dia over a distance of 123mm. There is no keyway. Mike

We are currently reburbishing a customers gearbox not manufactured by ourselves. The situation is we have a shaft onto which a gearwheel is shrunk on. The trouble is that the shaft has a 1:32 taper. What I need to know is info about the torque it will be able to transmit and also, how to install...

Limits and fits

Hi, what is the correct way to dimension upper and lower limits for holes on a drawing. Should the MMC be above LMC? OR the higher value be above the lower.I prefer the latter to avoid confusion but I have been told that the former is the correct way.Please advise
