October FE/EIT and P&P PE Exams

Just took it 10-25-03 as well. Amen! Same consensus as your son! First 4 hours-General was ok. I took the Civil portion in the pm. Had some trouble with traffic and soils but others were ok. I'm a 36 year old senior without Traffic and CE Materials yet so that might explain my poor showing. I...

    Help! I'm Sick of CAD.

Well just a little update....I just finished taking the FE Saturday and it wasn't too bad. I didn't study for it. It sounds pretty obvious but if I had studied for it..it would have been pretty easy to pass. I took it anyway just to see how I'd fair later after graduation. (I haven't had traffic...

    Help! I'm Sick of CAD.

Well lets face facts. We seldom see four letter words like "love" in these threads. Thanks to TheTick for that one even though he's sick puppy for liking CAD. At least he & I love what we do. Cheers to you Tick! [2thumbsup]

Need some good FE (EIT) Review advice?

I'm planning on taking the FE (or EIT) this fall. I would like to get some ideas from others about how they went about preparing. My background is little different from the norm. I'm a little older than most college freshman (36) and have been taking classes one semester at a time...

    Public vs. Private

Thanks for the rant RDK! (you forgot to include the millerism "of course that's my opinion I could be wrong." ending) I work for a small firm and someone else and the 9-5 type hours look real inviting sometimes. The bummer is I enjoy the work...but sometimes it would be nice to punch...

    ground vibrations

There are other product too. You might do a search on "helical" soil anchors and the like for other altenatives. A Geotech should always be consulted first thought. my 2 cents.. MJ
