Why one or two stages pumps usually have a same rating in a suction and discharge nozzle?
Could you give me any advice what is the effect in a pump or piping system in case of using different nozzle rating?

Pump suction size : 4"
Suction Pipe Line Size : 10"
So, 3 Piece of reducer may use in pipe connection as pipe/nozzle sizes have large difference.
In case of using this 3 step reducer necessarily, What problems will be caused in a pump equipment and pipe line system ?
according to api 676, rotary type pump.
Why the relief valves that are integral with or internal to
the pump are not acceptable?
It can be sufficient only with external relief valve to protect equipment or piping system?

i know what you mean, but actual, detail actions that intend to adjust to the requied lower head are needed to me.
I thnink the low pressure value at discharge of orfice you said is the interstage action whick...
I heard someone can adjust the lower head exactly under same capacity for using an orifice.
I know the principal of orifice using the differential pressure but how to get the pressure drop to the setting value.
Let me know the "formula" or necessary "web information" to refer.

Reagarding canned motor pump, With the API 685, that says Vendor furnish the temp. and press. profiles of the fluid recirculation flow path through the pump and rotor chamber.
What reasons (purpose) to be checked the temp & press profile ?

Max dis pressure can be increase by the additional differntial pressre due to following conditions ;
a. max. realtive density
b. max. dia. impellers or no. of stages
c. operation to trip speed
How can I assess and compare the possibility of the above ?

HI. I wonder why most pumps should be rated for 110% or 120% of "normal" flow, That i know of Minimum flow is particularly important for centrifugal pumps.
I want to know to focus on the figure of 110~120.
