Does anyone know how this is able to calculate fillets and chamfers accurately? Depeneding if they're inner or outer, they may increase or decrease material.
I am trying to dimension the depth of threads on a threaded hole (threads are turned on in the view), however the dim keeps coming up grey. The entire dwg is up to date, so I'm a bit stumped.
Anyone know why this is happening?
Thanks!
I have searched high and low for an answer to this but to no avail.
I have seen, thru the Catia documentation, an example of a 3DXML file embedded into a Powerpoint slide. The actual player window itself is visible within the slide and the part can be rotated, etc.
I cannot figure out how to...
Hi there.......
I'm trying to locate a supplier of an MS style bolt that is non-cad plated and can withstand 180 KSI or greater. The lead times we are finding on bolts that fit our criteria are a year or greater, and we would need this bolt much sooner.
Please advise if you'd know of any...
snowfire,
I know the concept.
HOWEVER, there are certain instances when I would like to leave a note or direction in the dwg that I do not want to print out on the final print.
Hence my question.
I can't see Catia catering to ONLY 64 bit Vista. There are many companies that do not wish to run 64 bit due to the fact that compatible software is a big issue. There are many softwares that do not support 64 bit that are in use in the business world.
I want to add some text to a dwg that will not print when the dwg is printed. I know I have been able to accomplish this in other CAD programs but I've yet to find a way to do it in Catia.
If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
Whenever I try to dimension threads, with either the length dim type or the diameter dim type, the dims that come up are the "gray" dims, denoting that the dimension is a "weak" dimension. And of course, upon updating, these dims turn red. How can one go about creating "strong" associative dims...
I've had some issues with Catia lately and had to reset some of my CatSettings, and now I have another issue from that.
Anytime I draw in Sketcher, my geometry is black instead of the default white like it typically is. I have checked tools - options -sketcher and the default color of elements...
We are trying hard to have all dimensions remain associative to all model geometry, however we are having trouble with one area:
When creating machinings from forgings. we put both the machining view and the forging view in the dwg (we use Position ->Superpose to get them lined up precisely)...
When modeling in Catia and using more than one axis, is there a way to get the additional axis in the drawing view? It seems to show only the default. I'd like to know if it's possible to get others to show up as well.
Thank you in advance!
