    Accuracy and SE

Se is applying an orthographic constraint to the line but I woulds assume any number I enter would override that. I am using V19.

    Accuracy and SE

Just typing in the length and direction. The error is very small, but more than enough to foul up everything downstream.

    Accuracy and SE

This is a simple line drawn from the center of the sketch plane out at a given distance and at the angle, but the angle continues to be drawn at an angle that I did not specify.

    Accuracy and SE

I am struggling with accuracy issues and SE V19. I draw a line to given distance at a specified angle and the angle is not correct as drawn. This is killing me when the assemblies refuse to constrain. The line was drawn at 7.103 inches long at the angle 90 degrees. When checked the line is...

    Creating a Rhomboid Dodecahedron PAR

I need to create a rhomboid dodecahedron (12 equal sided spherical object). I created a sphere and used cutting planes on 72 degrees to generate the flat sides but somewhere one or more of my sides is not correct when auxiliary views are created in DFT mode. I cannot find the error int he PAR...

Explanation of Terminology - Tangent Continuous

I am unfamiliar with the Frame feature.

Explanation of Terminology - Tangent Continuous

I see it now. When I saw the "universal" crossed circle icon I thought it meant that the protrusion had failed. Thanks to all of you guys for your help. I think I have a work around on the project that avoids the compound miter afterall.

Explanation of Terminology - Tangent Continuous

I cnanot get you Sweep to run. It opens with errors in the two Protrusions and the Cutout and cannot identify why it won't generate the Protrusion.

Explanation of Terminology - Tangent Continuous

When you say that a 90 degree corner won't work for a swept protrusion, you mean it won't work if the path is in two different sketches? It works if there is a 90 degree turn in a single sketch but I can't get it to make the turn between the two sketches. I am building a section of mitered pipes...

Explanation of Terminology - Tangent Continuous

Can I use a fillet with a radius of 0. I need the corner to be sharp. If so, how do I go about filleting two separate sketches?

Explanation of Terminology - Tangent Continuous

I don't think I can use the Derived Curve Command for my paths as I need the Sweep to follow my path exactly. I have a simple path in one plane that makes a 90 degree turn. I have a second sketch that makes a compound angle from the first sketch. I have connected the sketches using the Blue Dot...

Explanation of Terminology - Tangent Continuous

I am increasingly exasperated by the term "tangent continous" used to describe an error in a swept protrustion and the inability to locate the definition anywhere within SE V19's help section. What do I need to correct on my sketches to eliminate this error? All of my sketches are connected as...

    Data Migration to SE V19

SE will import the IGES file but only as a DFT. If I attempt to import it as a PAR file it crashes out the importer and generally locks up SE. When I save the fiel to 3D DXF I do not get an SAT file, is this something that my templating software shoudl produce or is does SE produce it?

    Data Migration to SE V19

I am using a 3D templating software package to produce 3D point clouds for organic and difficult shapes we run into templating stair systems, etc. This software can save out the data in the following formats... 2D DXF (.dxf) 3D DXF (.dxf) 3D Studio (.3ds) VRML 1.0 (.wrl) VRML 2.0 (.wrl)...

    autocad geometry in solid edge

I have been suing AutoCAD and SE in conjunction with each other for th past year and a half. If I need to use a DWG file to produce a sketch for a PAR or similar SE file, I use these steps... 1. Remove all extraneous lines form the DWG file. All objects must be exploded if they are blocks and...
