Repair to small garage structure - anything hinky?

YS & LE, Thank you both for your quick replies. What I am reading into it is nothing was necessarily done incorrectly, but could have been done better. My main concern has been whether this really should have been such a surprise, if we had known the cost we may have definitely explored other...

Repair to small garage structure - anything hinky?

I hope this is appropriate, I have some questions regarding a current repair job to a central two story garage in my townhouse complex. I am stepping outside my knowledge base, please excuse any abuse of terminology. I am based in Ontario. We were told we needed to replace the waterproof...

    Removing epoxy paint

    Minimum hole size

I tested a couple of pieces, slowing down the feedrate by ~10% gave us decent holes. These should be fine (clearance holes for bolts), but don't look as good as usualy where diameter > thickness. I will try to do some more tweaking, though it is usually hard to convince the powers that be to...

    Minimum hole size

The prevailing wisdom in our shop is that the minimum hole diameter is equal to the plate thickness. Is this correct? We need to put 13/32" holes into 1/2" plate on a Bystronic 1500W laser.
