It deleted all entities on the screen. Occasionally there are entities that are left on the screen that can not be selected and end up causing issues.

Also there are old non supported options for importing iges and other files that seemed to work better. they are only accessible from hidden menu. I-deas tech support should be able to get you to them if you ask about them.

A better method would be to export a parasolid. I-deas can read this is too (its not an extra cost option). you may have to change the extension or manually select the file since i-deas will be looking for a file withe a .x_t or .x_b extension (text or binary).

I did not see the option for selecting tangent surfaces. I am aware Ansys has that feature. I will have to look closer. As for what surface to apply loads to. I thought of that but used the interior surfaces so reports would look a little more understandable to the not so sharp. And because...

I am trying to analysis a roto-molded tank to see how it will stand up under vacuum. its just a pain to select all the surfaces one at a time.

Is there an alternate way of selecting all the interior/exterior surfaces of model then manually selecting them? I know other fea packages would had ways of doing this. Boxing in helps a little but not to much when you have most of surfaces selected.
