I tried that idea & actually came upon another search & got this site. Seems to be OK. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I am running 2006 & have 2007 but can't install until my main customer does, and they like to wait for a few SP's are under the bridge...

I need help. I want to design a compression spring - ends closed & ground - and I can't seem to find any info on just how to do the different pitches on the ends for the "closed" form. Someone must have come across this before. Any help will be appreciated. Are there any spring design macros...
I don't mean the Stefan Berlitz "Copydoc" macro. The properties I want to copy are the ones you set to fill out drawing title blocks, etc. For instance in an open part, go to "Properties" and see a list of items to fill out to be able to automatically have the drawing title block fill out.
Is there a way to bring existing custom properties from a part that has all the info set up, to an existing part that has no custom propertiess assigned? I would like to bring my standard custom properties from my generic part template to another existing part.
Scott - in your reply aove, there seems to be a line missing. I quote from your reply:

Click on Start/Run then type regedit
Expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry key
Expand the Software subkey
Expand the Solidworks subkey

Anyone have a model of a drafting lamp? Not the flourescent 2 bulb model, but a newer model with a small halogen bulb. I would like to get a model of one just for a presentation layout. Thanks in advance to anyone that might have a model I can download.
Just went to a SW 2004 demo. The cbore hole depth bug has been fixed in SW 2004. The csk dia problem still exists but luckily there was a SW rep in the house. Hopefully this bug will be fixed shortly. In the meantime, if you use the hole wizard & specify the csk hole to be deeper than the...
I am using SW 4.0, latest rev. My VAR has a problem with real world tech help. They are wizards at manipulating SW, but don't have a lot of actual mech design experience, so they have a minimum of interest answering a question along these lines. It took me quite a few minutes to explain what...
I have just noticed that a hole wizard countersunk hole with an additional csk depth (to lower the screw head below flush) generates incorrect values for the csk dia on a drawing callout using the dimension "hole callout" icon button. If I just dimension the csk with the...

I am talking about a model or drawing I get from a client who has any number of templates, etc. Each engineer kinda has his own set up. These engineers don't get into a lot of standardization among themselves & you can see all kinds of template settings. That is why I would like to change the...
How do I change the options I get with someone else's part or assembly or drawing too for that matter, to the options I have set for myself? I know there must be a way to do this, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks.
