We're using NX 10 and TC 10, and I'm seeking some advice on the best way to go about creating a snapshot or baseline of an assembly before an upcoming review. I've been told that the baseline function within Teamcenter would be great for this, but IT says that it's not going to be working...
I appreciate the quick response. That was driving me crazy.
Of course, someone came by my desk and really likes that, but wants to know if the color can be changed. In my example, the label and border are red, but when he turns them on, in NX 10, they are a less-visible orange.

This should be an easy one. I downloaded some parts from Siemens Learning Advantage to start learning about deformable parts. When I open them, they have a thin, red border around the graphics window, and a label with the current Model View and Camera. Is there any easy way to turn this off...
I'm looking at some lights for the cabin of what used to be a business jet. As I look through information from lighting vendors, specifically the intensity of various lights, I wonder if it's possible to use something like "118 foot-candles at 36 inches" to create renderings of what the lights...
I haven't been able to get the .bat files described here to work, but this also shows how to use the utility that Cowski mentioned.

I don't know that a lot of users are aware that there's a TeamCenter forum, which may be because it's not listed under "Engineering Programs". I certainly didn't until I saw this thread.
Here's a link to it: Link
While it's clear that OP is aware of that forum, the number of threads make me...
I sure did, John. A search for "Hide Components in View" in Command Finder produced 700 "matches," and "Show Components in View" produced 704 "matches," but neither return the two commands for which I'm looking.

While working on a drawing yesterday, I noticed that the Hide/Show Components in View buttons were missing from the Drafting Edit toolbar. The problem is that I can't find them to put them back. The commands have also disappeared from the menus. I've tried resetting the toolbar, changing Roles...
We're currently using 8.5, and the first group we'll be bringing up to speed on Check-Mate is going to stick with that for the foreseeable future. It's looking like the rest of the users may be moving to 10 when our internal testing is complete.
I'm using the comprehensive Quick Reference list...
We want to ease users into using Check-Mate, so we're putting together some training documentation to explain what the tests are looking for and adding screenshots of failure examples. Initially, we're only going to use a subset of the out of the box checkers. I've looked through the...
My company recently switched to NX from CATIA, and I've been tasked with going through Check-Mate to make sure we're capturing as much as we can from our corporate design handbook regarding drafting, models, etc. One thing that I haven't seen a test for is the size of text in notes, dimensions...
It's the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. I think he was making a joke.
I have to say that I don't understand what you're asking in your question, though.

I would assume that, because it knows the volume and density of your bodies, it just does the necessary calculus.
