    Use of power press for round bar billet shear

    If I want to cut round bar by using power press instead of billet shear. What would happen. Does anyone know the structure difference between power press and billet shear. I am wondering if it is going to damage the press if I use 150tons power press and make shearing die to cut round bar Dia36mm.
