You can also use plain AutoCAD (I think back to version 2014 and higher) - use ReCap to index the point cloud and then load the result into AutoCAD.

In the dynamic mode, typed coordinates are considered "relative". A relative "0,0" means "the same point". See also:

AutoCAD R14 to Autodesk Inventor seems to be more natural - same vendor, same drawing file format, maybe same reseller. Autodesk Product Design Suite contain both AutoCAD and Inventor, plus other useful design tools and cloud services.
I understand the ribbon-fobia, there are many AutoCAD-clones that do not have a ribbon-interface yet (but they will probably have it in future).
The DWG Trueview conversion function offers batch operation - just click the Convert button, no need to Save separately.

How different is the download+install of the official converter Autodesk DWG Trueview from other Windows applications? Click to download, setup.exe to install. Please note that DraftSight and any other non-Autodesk software does not create a standard, genuine DWG file format. Some drawing...
You can set another font for the default text style (see the STYLE command) but please note that the linetypes refer styles, not fonts.

It is a compiled LSP (VLX). Just load it like a LSP file - with APPLOAD or with mouse drag-b-drop. No, it doesn't use Meshsmooth.

You can use _any_ font which contains full Unicode set of characters/symbols. The symbol codes will be the same. Many TrueType fonts (e.g. Arial Unicode) contains these symbols.
