    Hello all attached is a sample assembly image. I inserted a plane in the assembly using point and curve object and by selecting two holes. my question is if i move any block, the datum is not associative even though i checked the associative box on. let me know if i can make datum...

    @capnhook....my original model will have least 300 tubes....i did see john baker doing trim on earlier version of nx successfully....i think i m missing something in the process...or nx 7.5 cannot trim it completely...

    the problem is at the joint, when i select one pipe as target and other as tool....it do trim it...but i see cut section of pipe(of the targets) inside the other(the one i used as tool) not deleted.... i did see the john bakers example files on tube joints....but they were done in earlier NX...

    Hi I think i need you guys help on this feature. can any one help me trim the tube at the joint. i m using nx 7.5. for some reason i am not able to upload file to eng tips . you can a take simple T joint. i used sketch and pipes.

    Thank you guys for all of your inputs.I completed the calculation.I am scared because of the lack of its(standards) online presence ( i know it makes less sense) :) if any one looking for this type of calculation, ANSI/(NFPA)T3.6.37-1991 or ISO 13725 serves the purpose.(@JStephen ) @chicopee----...

    I m trying to solve the equation. what value of F is used initially in the equation as the process is iterative. And what method is used to solve the equation.I m using excel and using goal seek and solver to solve the equation.But I m not getting the number I m looking.
