I did the same. Even after adding RIGID = LAGRAN, it doesn't work for me.All the RBE2 elements in my model have the same CTE as the rest of the model.
My bdf looks like this:
SOL 101
$ Direct Text Input for Executive Control
CEND
ECHO = NONE
RIGID = LAGR
$ Direct Text Input for Global Case...
I have 2 plates with a common hinged edge. I have approximately 100 elements along the edge.
Should I create CBUSH connection for each node pair along the edge? How do I do this?

can anyone tell me how to create a hinge at an edge in Patran?
I know how to create a hinge at one location in a 2D model (create 2 coincident nodes with 3 translational and 2 rotational constrained). How do I do the same for a 3D model where an edge should be a hinge?
