Hi,
I am trying to understand a 3-way valve and get confused by the following information.
- A normally closed valve has ports A, P, and R. When de-energized, outlet A is vented.
- A normally open valve has ports B, P, and R. When de-energized, outlet B is pressurized.
Could someone explain...
Roy,
Thank you very much for the link. I will get one.
To answer your questions:
- I am not sure whether it is a strain gauge, but what I know is that it is a pressure transducer that runs on a 10 VDC with an output of 3mV/V.
- The tranducer is located 10 feet from the I/O rack.
Thank you.
Thanks Dan and Roy for your valuable inputs. So now I am thinking of two options: either an amplifier to work with this mV output transducer (running with 10 VDC supply)or a volt/mA output transmitter that I can connect directly to the PLC input card. My only concern with the volt/mA output...
Could someone help me with this? I have a pressure transducer that outputs 30 mV max. How can I connect it to an AB PLC input card set up for 0 - 5V?
Thanks in advance.
