So I am doing a solidworks simulation on a copper tube with brazed flat endcaps. I applied an internal pressure of 350 psi, and an internal and external temperature of about 80 degrees C. The tubing is 1"OD X .05" Wall, and for the simulation the length is 11". The yield strength of the copper...
when I look up zero spagle galvanized sheet I see a few different images but some show the spangle still there???

So I have seen a few types of finishes on galvanized sheet metal on the internet. The typical patterned kind of metal chip looking finish and what looks like a more smooth, almost stainless steel looking galvanized. I want to use the smoother style galvanized sheet, but I am not sure what to...
So I am designing a check valve for a triclamp, and was looking at designing something pretty much just like the pic except without the o-ring as the triclamp has a gasket. My question is how they make the swing plate? Is it two pieces, a pin and a plate welded, or is this one stamped part and...
I wouldnt be doing the welding, and it is stainless 304. I guess my question is would I still weld it like I've shown in the pic or face to face butt weld in this case, and if it's a butt weld, would there be a gap between the two parts so they can weld, I am not sure how this process works, but...
its actually pipe at .109 thick. The ends are machined ferrules. The reason I used pipe is because I am also welding some half couplings on the pipe down the run. So how in my case would I get "100% uniform penetration with minimal excess metal" ?
so I am welding a triclamp fitting onto a pipe. Now I was wondering, is it standard practice to fillet the edge of the pipe for welding the flat face of the ferrule? I guess in general when you weld pipe would you chamfer the edges around like this normally to do a bevel...
I am assuming from this that this is a standard size pipe of some sort, and then it is machined and then bent??I am trying to make this in a 1/4" hose barb, what size stock would I use I cant seem to find a pipe that works for the inner and outer barb dimensions of arounf .119" id and around...
