At the top of the Pathfinder, at the filename, make a RMB click. Scroll down to where you see "Show All" flyout. At the bottom of that list is "Design Body". Left click that one and it should restore your geometry. You can select the other referenced items here, also.
av8errr,
If you didn't see it, you might want to see my thread on a home installation of ST4 from a bit ago, RE: thread562-309441.
Siemens picked up on it (their customer support group) and could not resolve it. I did find a solution for myself. I did appreciate their interaction and would...
Good news: I'm able to get a new work computer (workstation) to properly drive 64bit ST4.
Bad news: Our contractor IT guy specified the machine w/o allowing engineering input. It came in today and has two(!) Nvidia Quadro NVS420 cards in it. (The combination could drive up to 8 video...
Wondering how other folks handle this in SE (ST4), when you have multiple circular arc segments that all have the same radius, sharing the same center point?
SolidWorks has a "co-radial" constraint, which is pretty nice.
In SE, I create a radial construction line from the circular arc center...
After about 12 attempts since 27 Oct 2011, I have successfully installed ST4 on my home machine. To provide for installation, I uninstalled AVG12 and Zone Alarm 2012 firewall completely (not just turning them off for ST4 installation.)
ST4 installed without any issues from the DVD. I'm not...
BC,
Thanks for the reply. I was going use your method yesterday, but thought there was some way (unknown to me) to make the center line midpoints "pickable". I ended up with something pretty simple in the end. I kept my center lines in the draft (didn't modify them).
In the draft of the...
I have a sheet metal part that has rectangular slots across the part at different angles. I'd like to note the "center" (centroid) of these slots. I can do it by using a lot of construction lines, circles, etc.
I've initially added centerlines to the slots using the Center Line Command...
After 2 wks of trying to get this done, I'm about to give up. I've cleaned out registry entries, run MS utilities designed to purge the remains of old Windows Installer software installations, and suppressed all applications and most services when trying to install. Everything's failed.
The...
My VAR finally responded after I called them (the guy who takes e-mails was out for training - so much for expedited service). It appears this really is a corrupt file on the DVD media (on each one). I've gotten the executable via FTP download and will install that.
BTW, I found SWx much...
Here's a note I've sent to my VAR on the same subject. Any input here would be appreciated...
I have tried a few of times to install SE ST4 on a 32bit Windows XP Professional system (on a home license). I've secured and placed the SE License.dat file on the system. The error message I've...
BC, maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree. First to answer your question, yes, I'm maintaining my relationships and handles are on.
This latest discovery for a work around came from me getting an error message upon trying to select tangent faces in cam/follower definition. The message was about...
Reviewed this: http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=208631, and its associated FAQ prior to posting.
Okay, have two lines crossing at an arbitrary angle on a coincident base plane. There was a connection between the two lines at their vertex to start. I then apply a radius to those...
Following up on my original posting and subsequent responses. After messing around with modo 501, I gave up. Bottom line is that there was not a good way to import SE files. (Export Parasolids, then import into SolidWorks, saving out as SW files...blah. Yes, it "can" be done, but not what I...
This might be the shortest time ever for follow-up message with a solution. The answer is... Ctrl+LMB = deselect entity. It will have to do. If there's another way, I would like to hear of it.
Okay, still working my way through ST3 with a new design. I have a part with several rounds applied. One is on an edge I'd like to deselect. Well, the intuitive way (to me) would be to click on the edge to take it out of the selection set, same way as it was added. After some futile clicking...
