Helo, I've been under the assumption that the (-) in the "source I " is refering to actual electron flow
(- to + ). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hello, Although I've never made one what about using an inductive clamp as used on a timing light.
I have no idea of what the output level would be, if too high :2 back to back zener diodes would clamp at your desired level, if too low :[i]amplify.

Hello, I've been having a problem with S&C 14.4 Kv/100 A fused cutouts not dropping free when the fuse link breaks.
All it takes is a SLIGHT touch with a hotstick at the bottom of fuseholder and the tensioner pulls the link free and they drop out.
When inspecting them after removal all pivot...
Greetings again, Thanks to all for the help.
Using a Simpson and a 1940's vintage Weston I measured 200-202 vac.
I understand now,Question answered.

Jaref, Thanks for the input. The DMM's I used are : Fluke 87
and an Amprobe (can't remember the model). Both are true-rms
DMM's. I'll try using my simpson 860.
Greetings, I'm trying to measure the output voltage of a vfd (yaksawa pc606) thats programmed for a max voltage of 200 v.
Using 2 different t-rms dmm's i am measuring appx. 250v.
Are the dmm's leading me "astray" because of the high switching freq??
Thanks in advance
