Those calculations seem reasonable to me and are similar to what I came up with about a year ago.
The problem I found was by the time you have a channel big enough to reduce wall effects then you water flow rate starts to become quite large. There was a sweet spot in the trade off between model...
A short is close to zero ohms, and as ohms go to zero for any voltage, current goes towards infinity.
In an ideal world with ideal voltage sources but the source output impedance needs to be taken into account. With a non zero output impedance, as the short resistance tends to zero, the...
Somewhate off topic Macquari but you mentioned a problem with 3L diesel toyota cranks. As someone who has been seriously looking at this powerplant could you elaborate at all?
I'm not familiar with the internals of injectors but perhaps it has an inbuilt Diode to supress voltage spikes when the magnetic field in the solenoid coil collapses?
Why does it get bandied about that these engines don't have pumping losses? As far as I'm concerned a restriction is a restriction. The only advantage in terms of pumping loss I can imagine is a possible reduction in turbulence of the incoming charge which at part-load might not be an advantage...
