Thanks for the reply John.
The problem I have with these external video capture programs is that I would really like to have my assembly be moving and play in a loop (GIF style). There is only camera movement in what I am doing within the motion simulation module so it is near impossible to...
I am currently working within an assembly of hundreds of parts and am attempting to create a video for a presentation using motion simulation. Today is the first time I have used the simulation software within NX 8.5 but I have gotten everything to work correctly except for when I attempt to...
I honestly have no idea what P7 means at all. I have never worked with bearings before and have never had to use different fits before. I am a first year engineering intern and we haven't covered anything about it yet. I am working for a very small government contractor and am designing a...
I was originally using Mcmaster Carr for the bearing and they did not give this information at all. The housing material is 1018 carbon steel and I believe the material of the bearing is steel.
Thanks for the help!
Okay, so if I pick out one of their bearings that has an OD of 100 mm and I choose the housing fit that I want and it says use tolerance P7 what do I do?
So I am trying to make mechanical drawings for a part that I need made but I don't know how to make the notes for the bearing to be press fit inside of it. How do I do this if I have a bearing with an outside diameter of 100mm?
I posted the next most recent thread last week concerning the top mixture for a steel hinge belt for erosion testing. Now I need to know if the same casting adhesive that I am using in the mixture for the grit would be the correct choice for the bottom of the belt. Steel hinge belts do not use...
Thanks for the quick reply!
I also thought that the recycling of the grit would be the best option and you would get the most erosion out of it. But the machine will be running in a government building and my boss and his associates think it would be too dangerous to run indoors. I am just...
I need to create a mixture of sand, gravel, and other grit in an adhesive that will be bonded on a steel hinged conveyor belt. If you have never seen one of these then you can visit this site as a reference: http://www.steelhingebelt.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1
The adhesive...
