Working and doing some tests with the software, there would be too many issues to list. Problems are occurring in several areas. Really noticing a difference & I'm reaching an unable to work situation.
Using SOLIDWORKS 2016 SP1.0;
Lots of features that worked well in previous versions don't work well or don't work at all in version 2016.
Other users having the same issues or is it my imagination?
Any response will be greatly appreciated!
Yes, it is possible to attach purchased parts as separate bodies in a detailed list of the main BOM. The problem that I'm noticing is when you have multiple weldment parts in an assembly, the individual sub-parts do not accumulate to the total quantity, they remain for one weldment part...
Using SolidWorks 2016 SP01;
Is it possible to "Attach" or "Include" purchased items used in the Weldment environment at the Top Assembly BOM list for purchased parts inclusion?
Example:
Purchased bolt & washer & are inserted as separate bodies in the Weldment environment as one component in...
Using CATIA V5R18;
I’ve been asked to place multiple detailed assembly drawings on multiple sheets in one drawing file. The problem that I’m having is the part item numbers for the individual assembly BOM doesn’t start at one but some other number, but in its own individual file, the part item...
Itsmyjob, respect with the top view. I don’t want to create scripts and I don’t want to create views because the other parts will orient differently. I worked in reverse. I wanted to rotate and properly orient product 1 on its own and constrain product 2 to product 1. What I did was insert...
Using CATIA V5R18;
Is there a rotate command that can be used on products in the product environment, which will maintain the new reference with the view compass reference? Similar to the part body “rotate” command in the part environment?
An example; I insert an assembly that has a reference...
Using CATIA V5 R18;
I’ve revised a part and I would like to add a revision symbol to an existing dimension in the drawing, can CATIA do that automatically?
Any response will be greatly appreciated!
Currently designing some components by purchasing an off shelf item made of high alloy steel and I would like to weld it to another steel part. Since I don’t know the exact composition of the purchased component, is it safer to weld it to another high alloy steel or any steel will do?
Any...
I figured out that you can prevent sectioning components by the “overload properties” tab under the section function of the section view and choose the components one by one.
Is there anyway of telling CATIA before it creates the section view to eliminate the components you don’t want to section?
