    I came up with .0022 Sq In in the cross section of a 12 pitch thread, which required .242 HP @ 16 SFPM. Just seems much lower than what I had expected...

    When testing the shear strength of a automotive wheel stud fastner would the shear strength rating (128 KSI) be along the center axis. Is it a pull type test along the stud center line axis until it pulls in half?
