I'm looking for a way of drawing a line with an arrow head at each end.
I searched and an old method using a GRIP file came up but the links to the libraray have expired.
Is there a better way in NX 7.5?
OK, thanks. I tried that but it didn't solve the problem.
I've found out that the problem also affects hidden-line wire frame. The hidden lines start coming through as I zoom out.
Take a look at this image for extreme case...
I've got a hollowed out part and when I zoom out then some of the internal edges start to appear on the outside of the part.
I've had a few people look at the file and some have the problem and some don't. We suspect that it might be to do with using dual screens.
I'm just wondering whether...
A colleague has a problem with a drafting view.
When he drags a dimension then all other dimensions in the view explode into a mess of lines that occupy a space several times bigger than the drawing view. It looks like they explode into being 5 times larger than the view(drawing scale 5:1) with...
Each window that's available in the list of windows should be able to remember which application it last used during the session.
That's got nothing to do with databases and I still don't understand what is so difficult about implementing this.
There is clearly an internal list of all the...
In the assembly constraint window choose "center" from the drop down list. There will be a another list of types that appears below it:
1-1
2-1
1-2
However, for most 1-1 alignments you don't need to bother with centre. Use "touch align" and touch-align the hole axes.
These appear as centre...
I agree that it's a bit silly.
I had a thread on here a while back asking why it can't remember which application you're running in each window and then automatically switch when you change windows.
I was told that it was a lot more complicated than I thought, but that's what software...
Well, a bit of cunning has allowed to make some progress.
I suppressed everything in the model, allowed it to update and then unsuppressed everything except for the last 2 features. I've now got what I wanted - the last 2 features suppressed whilst I add some more holes.
I just downloaded arrowheads from here:
http://grip.plmworldgroups.org/
It works, but I need to change the csize to give me a larger arrow.
What is csize?
I guess that it's some sort of system variable relating to feature sizes for certain annotation.
The new system is slightly better than the old system in my experience.
One thing that took me a while to get used to was making constraints visible.
You don't actually need the constraints to be visible, because if you select them then the constrained features light up Red.
The easiest way to...
I've got a large model part - it's a welded frame.
Multiple extrusions are shelled, then mirrored then all united.
Then various holes are arrayed and mirrored.
When I suppress the last mirror then it updates the part, gets 80% of the way there and then after a few seconds the progress update...
I want to draw a line with an arrow on the end of it in the drafting application.
What's the simplest way of doing it?
I've messed around with text-free leaders and that sort of works, but it's not very elegant.
