3 lobe offset/preloaded journal bearings, who can make?

Anyone know of any manufacturers that will custom make 3 lobe journal bearings with specific offsets and preloads for approx 1.13" id bearing by 3" long? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Current loop wiring of pressure transmitter, controller and valve

Newbie to the 4-20mA current loops so I'm wondering if anyone can help me with understanding how to connect the following devices. The individual product info has confused me so I'm hoping you experts can give me a clue: 1.) Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter 2.) Honeywell UDC2500 controller...

Fisher V200 V-Port Ball Valve Substitute?

I've have selected a 1" and 3" Fisher V-Port Ball Valve 600#, with pneumatic actuation and 4-20ma positioner. My local distributor is lacking in customer service and timeliness in answering questions, to the point that I'd like to know if anyone knows of a suitable equivalent valve from a...

    Valve controller selection

Thanks again to everyone who responded. Roy, do you have any specific controller references. We are using Rosemount 3051 dP transmitters

    Valve controller selection

Valves are 1.5" and 4" v-port ball valves with positioners. Control is not required to be fast but accuracy would be nice, or at least accurate enough to set a flow rate (gpm) based on what is read from a differential pressure transmitter. We want to be able to set say 900 gpm on the 4" line by...

    Valve controller selection

Yes, thanks for the tip. For reference, any other brands or types, maybe with more features? This is a good start, thanks again

    Valve controller selection

I need to select a device to control a pneumatic valve using the 4-20mA input on the actuator. The control must be manual, by that I mean the user will vary the 4-20mA current to set the valve in the desired position by whatever means the device allows. We would prefer that the control allow for...

4-20mA input to pneumatic valve, what is recommended.

Thanks, I'll try posting in the forum mentioned.

    valve differential pressure?

we want to control the flow rate from 90-1200 gpm for controlling the rate at which the resevoir fills. Pneumatic actuation is prefered. I have noticed 5" butterfly valves are less common.

    valve differential pressure?

Thank you all for the input. The following is some more application info as I continue to search for a suitable valve: Pump s/o pressure = 1200 psi Clean water @ 70F 5" nominal pipe through 5" venturi Subject valve discharging to atmosphere through 2'length pipe. Ideal valve would have no...

    valve differential pressure?

Hi folks, I need to size a valve that will have a short pipe downstream of the valve discharging to an open resevoir and I need to provide the max. differential pressure. Is this dP just the upstream pressure-atmospheric pressure? Please correct me if I'm wrong and thanks in advance.

    Keyed shaft coupling

rb1957, ok lets say i know the torque, how do you evaluate the stress with the method you know for the crosssection i described earlier. For however you plan to input the torque value, essentially that is the value I would like to solve. I work for the OEM, and there is no design documentation...
