How can I use pressure, temperature data (by Fluent) in Abaqus ?

This question would be more relevant in the Abaqus forum.

    Women Men Work Place Inequities

After 5 full days of formals, when I wore 3/4ths to the office on a Saturday, my roommate wanted to know if I was planning to go to the office or the beach. The canteens are usually filled between 1 and 1:30 because thats when 1 gets to c the 'hot girls' wearing tank tops, skirts, sleeveless...

    Women in the workplace...

kmtswims, I do feel sorry for whats happening to you. I hope you find your way around soon. Hey boys, why dont we start a global engineering organisation? Kmtswims, TurbulentFluid, Parsnip and all other girls, would u like to join us? And then instead of using this forum, we can discuss r...

    Women in the workplace...

The general conclusion in this forum seems to be that kmtswims brings the issue of harrasment to the notice of her supervisor and also starts looking for another job. Although I definitely agree with the former suggestion, the latter 1 seems impractical. What guarantee does she have that these...

    What's your take

I am sure there is soon gonna be a battle of words in this forum, once the women learn that they score low in 'things' management (engineering). As for me, I am still working on the rotational tests. Cheers.

Mesh rigid boby or assign the materials property?

You definitely must mesh the rigid body, but I am not sure about the material property. I think you ought to assign that as well.

    spanwise vortices and induced drag

scotty7, Thanks for the info mate. Greg, Sorry pal. But never heard of such a design before.

    spanwise vortices and induced drag

Greg I am assuming that the view you are referring to, is also the front view of the aircraft. In that case, I dont see how there will be any pressure difference as the cross-section of the wing is circular.

    spanwise vortices and induced drag

Wing tip vortices are created due to difference in air velocities or pressure on the upper and lower surfaces of the wing. Any fluid always flows from a region of high potential to a region of lower potential. Hence the air on the lower surface flows around the wing tips to the upper surface...

    Problem ABQUS version: 6.4, 6.5 and 6.6

dresseur (Mechanical), 'my sample was designed on the irondcad software and exported as STEP file' What do u exactly mean by the sample? Is it the basic geometry or the complete FE model with loads and boundary conditions? If the meshing has been done in Abaqus after the model is imported...

literature for introduction to C programming

C has always been the primary language in the domain of embedded systems and telecommunication. All micro-controller and micro-processor programming is done in C. paulfrancis (Chemical), C is probably the only language which can be used for both high and low level programming. U would be...

    Visualising supercrtical phase changes

Inthevalley, That's a good one. I hope you never get caught in that supercritical state. Cheers.

    Linear vs. non-linear

Tunalover, Linearity is a simple mathematical approximation to simplify real time problems. In linear analysis, the deflections and rotations are very small, stresses are proportional to strain, material is elastic, the equations are written for the initial structual configuration, loads...

    ph.d and employment in engineering

SomptingGuy, If Ph.D guys can yell at their bosses and get away with it, then I am gonna start my Ph.D. degree tomorrow itself. Cheers.
