    Graphics card or RAM?

    When we upgraded SW to 2009, I down loaded the latest drivers for my VC from SW. I found out he latest drviers were causing problems, PC locking up. I rolled back to the previous drivers used on SW2008 and no more problems. Not sure if this will help, worth a try. Terry

    Datum Box SW2009 SP2.0

    Problem solved, My VAR said it will be corrected in SP3.0. Here's the work around until then. Go to Tools Options Select: Documents Properties Select: View Labels Expand View Labels Select: Deatils Look for Border Change the line wt to .0071 Hope this will help others Terry

    Datum Box SW2009 SP2.0

    Thanks, The settings are the same as SW2008. The lines were fine in SW2008. The line wt setting are .007.

    We recently installed SW2009 SP2.0, when inserting a new Datum or Feature Control the extension line is thick line, and the Feature Control box has a thicker line on the last box has anyone else seen this with SW2009? Terry

    Crosshatch Solid

    When I print my drawing the crosshatch solid does no show as solid fill, no hacthing at all. The crosshatch solid shows on my solidworks drawing but not in print preview or after printing. Anyone else seen this? SW2007 sp4.0 Terry

    Extract part from feature?

    In the past I have used SDRC-Ideas and was able to extract a part from a feature on a part. Can this be done in solidworks? I have a feature sketched on a part that really should be a part reporting to an assy. I know I could cut and paste the skecth and pick a plane. Any suggestions? Terry...

    Dual Dimensioning

    Anyone have any problems with daul dimensioning? In my drawing the dim's are ".341 in" solidworks gives me "8.65 mm" also dim ".021 in" solidworks gives me .52 mm". SW2006 SP4.1 Terry

    Can symbols be added to the symbol libary? I would like to add the omega symbol. Were is the symbol libary located within Solidworks?

    My friend is an Engineering Manager looking to switch from ACAD 2006 to a Solid modeling package. He is looking at Solidworks and Solid Edge. What are your unbiased opinions Solidworks vs. Solid Edge?

    It is a prefix to the actual part number an shows up in the feature manager.
