    tank ventilation rate

    Thanks for your help, everyone.

    tank ventilation rate

It is routed to scrubber system where multiple vent lines are connected. I know the maximum capacity of tail gas at scrubber system but it is unrealistic to use this number for storage tank since, again, multiple lines are connected to the scrubber. There is the recommended miniminum vent rate...

    tank ventilation rate

I am trying to find the recommended ventilation rate for chlorine dioxide storage tank. It is necessary to keep the cl02 concentration in the vapor space below LEL, but there should be the minimum recommended rate. Does anyone come across with such a data?

    deflagration vent sizing

It is diluted solution of chlorine dioxide.

    deflagration vent sizing

When you have material with very high burning speed (>> 100 cm/sec ) how do you size the explosion hatch for internal vapor deflagration? NFPA68 focuses on flammable material with up to 60 cm/sec of burning speed. Can someone direct me to equations that I can use to size the hatch? Thanks

    low flow acid feeding system

Pulsation was one of reasons that some people didn't want to go with diaphragm pump. How much of pulsation does dual head pump generate? Is it noticeable enough that pulsation dumper is required? I like the idea of metering pump if I can convince people.

    low flow acid feeding system

Thanks for all of your inputs. It is a strong acid at 93% concentration and it is in its main storage tank. I was actually looking at Hydro-cell double diaphragm metering pump to do this, but that didn't get many people excited for some reason. Diaphragm pump gets a bad name. It is going to side...

    low flow acid feeding system

I need to pump in less than 0.5 gpm of sulfuric acid to high pressure system which runs around 170 psi. Looking into using a small low flow high pressure metering pump. Looking into using a small low flow high pressure metering pump. It needs good accuracy. I handled quite bit of hazardous...

    pressure reduction

You have desribed it correctly. Pressure at suction is based on the liquid level in storage tank and I would say it is ~ 20 psig. Sample line would come off discharge of pump which is pumping at 150 psig. Sample would go to online sensor/analyzer and then back to the suction side of pump. On...

additional water line to distribution system

Volumn of 600ft long and 1-1/2" diameter pipe is ~ 55 gal. If user uses water for 2 minutes at 10 gpm every 10 min, after about 30 minutes there will be enough water used to flush the entire pipe. Would this be enough frequency of water movement in pipe so that there won't be any sediment issue??

additional water line to distribution system

Well, new line will be actully long...it will be around 600 ft. For such a long piping, you would recommend flow to be circulated? We would probably go with 1-1/2" piping for possible another user in the future.

additional water line to distribution system

We are looking into adding 1-1/2" line to the existing water distribution system in the plant in order to bring water into the new area. Approx.10 gpm of water will be used at equipment every 10 minutes and not continuous water usage. Do I need to route piping so that water is always circulated...

    pressure reduction

Thanks for your input. It is diluted chemical stream. Chemical concentration is less than 5% and the rest of it is water. Although it is diluted, it could cause some minor safety issue on people. For this reason, RO can be used instead of pressure regulator?

    pressure reduction

I want to get other people's opinion on this matter. Pump is pumping fluid at 150 psig discharge pressure and at 350 gpm. I will be intalling metal tubing (1/4") on 1" existing connection to send sample to online analyzer. We also want to add manual sample line for analyzer check. Peole are...
