Okay, let's say we do not have the SoftLogix software program but we have a few PKTS cards that we want to test. Since, if I read the above correctly, the PKTS cards will NOT be initiated because there is no PnP for the PKTS in RSLinx when Linx is started.
You must have the SoftLogix program...
It is PKTS. It's a remote I/O card sitting in a PCI slot. I talked to AB and they tell me the driver is embedded in their Softlogix package and not available as a stand-alone.
I would think that the driver is out there somewhere.
thanks,
SB
Does anyone know where I can get the driver for the AB PKTS PCI card? We're running Windows 2000 Pro. and RSLinx Lite. The drivers downloaded from the AB web site did not work. Any help appreciated.
thanks,
SB
I have an old 2711K5A1 PanelView with 1.03 Firmware. My customer wants to upgrade the firmware to at least 3.01. Is this do-able? What would it take to get this done?
Thanks in advance.

How would this be handled: A weld shop is in an unclassified area and contains a small compressor. The discharge of the compressor has copper tubing that runs through the outside wall, goes underground and exits the ground in a classified area (Class I, DIV II). The tubing is not buried deep...
Thanks guys. I should have posted the question a little different: If I have a three-phase panel and it only contains one and two-pole breakers, is it OK to have the panel configured so that NONE of the breakers occupy the 'B' phase?
For example, there are only 5 single pole 120V breakers...
Our company sometimes builds trailers with some of the equipment being three-phase and single phase motors. We'll take the trailers to a site and have the utility company build us a bank of transformer(s) for power. The power is normally 120/240 3-phase 200A 4-wire delta.
My question is this...
We're wiring the internal motor thermal overloads in series with the the starter coil. In addition, the 3-phase starter has an overload block on it. The motor is XP and is rated for Class I, DIV I, DIV II, etc. Do I still have to seal within 18" of the motor? There is a seal right under the...
The motors have internal over-temp protective devices. The boundry between unclassified and classified is the trailer floor. The motors are entirely within the DIV II area.
We have a trailer that contains pumping equipment. Outside the trailer in the unclassified area is a control panel and breaker panel. From these boxes, there are several 1" EMT conduits that are piped to a trough under the trailer. There are no seals between the the boxes and the trough...
Thanks dpc. Please allow me to be a little more "thick" here: If I have a 3-phase, 3-wire, 120/240 panel with a ground and no high leg wouldn't each phase be 120 VAC to ground? Or...are you saying I have no neutral since I have a 3-wire 120/240 panel and thus do not have 120 VAC from...
dpc-
Oops...Left out an important fact. Yes, the motors are 3-phase.
Ok, let's see if I'm not too thick here: I can get a 78KVA autotransformer and boost the voltage from 208 to around 240 and feed that to our 120/240 4-Wire existing panel.
Question #1: since I'm feeding from 120/208Y, will...
I need to be more specific. The power company has 3-phase 120/208 Wye transformers. Basically, what I need to do is feed a 200A 120/240 delta 3-phase breaker panel that has 2-pole, single phase breakers and 1-pole single phase breakers. Keeping the single pole breakers off the Hi-Leg.
Our...
I have a 400A, 120/208 Wye 3-Phase bank of transformers mounted on a utility pole at a site we will be working at. Our equipment requires 200A, 120/240 VAC which would be an open delta, I believe.
Can we use a transformer to accomplish this?
The problem is the power company wants 10K to build...
