Force decomposition in a clutch
Is the torque divided equally between the friction faces of 12 and 16. My inclination is yes as if it were different some parts would be in motion w.r.t. 12 or 16. With the clutch fully engaged this is not the case.- stev0

Hi All, My first post. I am an electronics person straying into mechanical engineering. I am teaching myself FEA on Simscale. This is a heavy 1960s cast iron car clutch used (strangely) in a motorcycle. It needs slimming down. Part 19 is the input. Part 15 is the output. I want to FEA part 12...- stev0
