    thanks pressed, sorry for not getting back to you I work 7 days with long hours. That site is where I got my info from but it doesnt say the CE of it unless Ive overlooked it somewhere. I would just like for someone to figure out the CE from the values that I have given, thankyou.

    Hello, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the carbon equivalent of bohler k245 with this composition:- C .63, Si 1.10, Mn 1.10, Cr .6. I came up with 1.02% I'm not sure if thats right?, any help would be most appreciative.

    the steel is low carbon, 75 x 12 flat bar about 520mm long, one fold is 90 degrees and is done cold. Other material is all the same low carbon steel, 50 x 3, 50 x 8, ect.

    sorry for not enough info, I understand both processes as in temps, duration in furnace ect. We cold bend a few items which is allowable only if you normalise them afterwards and then other items are stress relived. My boss has said "we'll heat them for such & such and leave them in...

    Shaft standard for hook scrap bins.

    Is there a standard for the size of shaft to use on a hook bin particulary 10 cubic meter, which can way in-excess of 15 tonnes. any help would be appreciated.

    I don't know if I'm been led down the garden path or not but what test's are there to see if L.C.S has been normalised or stress relieved, and where can I get info on the subject thats worthy. any help would be appreciated.

    Gillotining of bisalloy

    I personally wouldn't cut bisalloy on a gillotine which is capable of cutting 6mm stainless, but a boily mate said he had and did it was about 5mm and i did'nt see the grade but you could hear it crackling as it was cut and sounded like a glass crunching sound, is this wise?.
