I am sorry for not being clear enough. I mean the H2 gas leak detection. The gas is likely to be at higher temperature +650 Deg C(Natural Gas reformer application) where it may create an unvisible flame.

I would try installing the same probe at the incoming of the inverter(Pure sine wave) and compare with standard meter/ VFD display. It should be reading the current reading accurate enough ignoring the VFD losses.

10-11 MW,13.8 KV motor needs to be installed in a green field project site. The existing electrical network does not permit to DOL start the motor, Is there any industry proven method of starting?
Is an auto transformer start method preferrable at this voltage/power level?
Suggestion:
Please evaluate your need, i.e. Do you need measurement only? Field display? Remote display? In case of failure of sensor what do you need to get indicated etc.

Correct engineering practice will demand invertor duty motor chosen for starting characteristics of your pump, review of cable(type,insulation,armour etc), length of cable is a restriction for AC-VSD.
