    M14 Socket Head Cap Screw

    In the Machinery's Handbook, why does it say that a M14 S.H.C.S. is "non-preferred" or "not recommended for use in new designs?" What sort of scientific explaination is there for this? Your input is appreciated. Thanks, Shawn.
