If you receive the message "Section Line add arrow segment error" go to "Preferences" /"Section Line" and check out the arrow sizes A,B,C they may be large unrealistic values. If so go for "default" or a realistic value to suit.

It is a good book for anyone new to UG, easy to follow with good dialogue and illustrations, and I was happy with the purchase.
By the end I was looking for a more advanced level - that is probably in the next book!

I think the problem may be due to the licence file of your NX3 copy - get in touch with the supplier he should be able to help by sending an update, - (this is a common problem with supplies originating from Russia)

You could try opening a new file and importing the .prt file that is giving you the problem.
May be worth a try!
