    Alloy 6 Weld Procedure

    Thanks for the pointer. We can straighten the shaft in one of two ways. On a hydraulic press with indicator or in v-blocks on a horiz. boring mill table with indicators. Using a stud and nut with a clamp to more accurately guage the amount of force we are applying. sqearly

    Alloy 6 Weld Procedure

    Can someone point me in the right direction. I need a weld procedure for overlaying Alloy 6 on a 316 shaft in 2 places on the shaft each about 3" long. The shaft will be undercut and will be straightened and machined after overlay.
