Let me just re-emphasize exactly what it is that I'm looking for. I'm looking for a published table that lists earth pressure coefficients by soil type. (ie I can look up fine sandy loam (SM) and identify Ko, Ka, and Kp)
I'm looking for a site/publication with published values of typical soil coefficients for different soil types. I'm really just looking for Ko and Ka right now, but I figure they should all be in the same place.
I believe that you're right JStephen. It does appear to be a "European Standard Beam" (IPN). It has tapered interior flange faces. Also, based on some welding that I've seen done to this beam, I think that it is steel. Does anyone know what type of steel I could expect a 1960's era IPN to be...
I have encountered a steel or iron shape in a home built in the early 1960's. The beam is 43' long with a single weld joint at about 40'. The beam is 6 1/4" deep with 2 13/16" wide flanges that are approximately 1/4" thick. On the side of the web is stamped "ROD. PN - 16". I can't find this...
I have encountered an existing beam in a residence built in the 1960's with a rather odd steel (or probably iron) shape. The member is 6 1/4" deep, with 2 13/16" wide flanges. The flanges are approximately 1/4" thick. On the side of the web is stamped "ROD. PN-16". Does anyone know what this...
