I just got my SpaceTraveler and I have been trying to learn how to use it the right way in Solidworks. One thing I can't figure out is how to look a certain rotation orientation. Right now I just double click with my middle mouse button and that lets me rotate the model around whatever I...
The 1000 I got for $100 off eBay is GREAT! Works like a charm, and 'Realview' is awesome! I really like the card, and so far I can't seem to get any assembly that I have to slow it down. I just got my 3dConnexion SpaceTraveler too... still learning how to use that though, my models are...
give them a shot in Solidworks and let us know how they work... I think you can get the free plug-in for solidworks 3d stereo off the solidworks website
wait I think I know what the problem is, I am currently connected into my work pc (the one with solidworks installed) via LogMeIn, and I think when you do that, LogMeIn uses it's own graphics driver or something to speed up the remote access...so that's why the option isn't there. I also...
well I just went to 'View, Display, Realview graphics' but the 'realview graphics' is grayed out so I can't select it.
I know my card supports it, I have an nVidia Quadro FX 1000
so the regular materials you add to parts does not look the same as the realview materials? is there a tutorial on how to use realview now that I finally got myself a quadro card?
another good thing you can do is just use 1 drive, and partition it, and keep all of your documents on a seperate partition. That way if you need to reinstall windows, you just wipe out the c: drive and all of your important data say on the e: drive is just fine, not touched. So you reinstall...
but you are saying that the lcd shutter glasses will give a better 3d image (higher resolution, jumps out at you more, etc), then what you see at the imax threaters using the polarized glasses?
by the way, if you enable the 3d Stereo plugin for Solidworks, would it make the screen look all...
yes but my point is I need access to my files from multiple locations so I would need to put the files on a remote server somewhere.... right now I just throw them on my web hosting server..
yeah I figured that was what you meant because I knew the Quadro cards had realview support and I didn't think they had any limitation to the accelerated windows.
is Realview only used for doing fully rendered animations that are saved to a .avi file?
well right now I am just copying my part, drawing and assembly documents out to my secure internet server so I can access them from any computer. I think the biggest benefit I would get out of PDM works is the revision control so if I had to go back in time of a part I could do that.
But is...
well I have a nVidia Quadro FX 1000 video card that has a 3-pin Stereo 3d port on the card. The card also has 2 DVI ports on it. I have my 21" Dell LCD monitor connected to 1 of the DVI ports of the card. The max refresh rate I can get on this monitor is 75hz, but the Quadro video card can...
yeah I have been working threw the SolidProfessor cds' I have found them very helpful, some of the features like Flexing, etc. are really way more than I think I will ever need or use..
