Try to measure the per phase winding resistance and also, if possible, the split phase winding resistance in order to make sure that all the phases have the same resistance. This is to see if there were any wrong connections made during the rewind.

It certainly appears that the harmonics are due to the way the generator has been rewound. However at this point I may add that there could be two major external sources of harmonics; 1- excitation system, 2- station battery charger because both have rectification equipment.

Normally the test results of a piece of equipment are compared with its previous tests and also with test results of similar equipment. Would it make sense to compare it with the same kind of equipment but with different specifications?
For example if we have a 10 MW, 13.8 kV, insulation class...
The megger results for the generator are really good and almost the same as the last test in performed in May 2003. We haven't yet operated the unit but hope that it should be fine.

I would rather disagree... Pts connected in Y have their Y-point grounded but not PTs in open delta.

What I meant by not blown completely was that the 95% of the casing was still in tact.... normally its just shattered completely!! It was open of course.

The PTs are in open delta for voltage regulation.
