Hi all,
I want to know ,what is the standard heat loss that is acceptable from an insulated pipe line?
The thickness of the insulation is decided upon some value of the heat loss that is accpetable , so how much heat loss should be accpetable as a fraction of the total heat conetent in the...
Hi JoMM,
The feed to heat input can be varied by varying the steam flow to reboiler.I have done that too,but that did not give any result.I have already mentioned it in the my earliar posts.
Whenever the thermosyphon breaks, the level in the pump suction side increases ,since it is in cascade...
Thanks for your great response.
I would add/correct some information to my last post.
1.I rechecked the column drawing and found that the Reboiler is not the once through type, there is a deflector plate below the reboiler return nozzle which sends the total Reboiler outlet material –liquid back...
Thank you guys. Thanks for your prompt replies.
The information about the reboiler/column is as follows.
1.This is a flooded reboiler with the hydrocarbon in the tube side and steam(14.5 kg/cm2g,215 deg c temp.) in the shell side.
2.Column has not been revamped.
3.There is no reflux to this...
hi all,
This question referes to a thread i saw some time back about the reboiler "slip flow",because of the low velocity and all.....
I am facing a similar problem in a column reboiler. The system includes a vertical thermosyphen reboiler in a column .The column is mainly a stripper that is...
hi,
can anyone tell me approx. how much heat loss is expected from the cold collector of hydrogen unit reformer outlet?
any thumb tule for this , though it can be calculated by the heat transfer calculation procedure .
in continuation of the last post, this condensate is not steam condensate, it is process condensate which comes after cooling and condensing the process gas( gas coming out of LT shift reactor).it is not heated before entering into the deaerator and atleast four hydrgen generation plants i have...
the deaerator that we have is like typical deaerator in a boiler which is used for dmin water deaeration.
in this deaerator we have two packed bed sections ,one for the dmin water which comes at a temp of about 95-100 deg c.
another packed bed section is there which is independently for the...
the condensate we are putting into the deaerator through two packed beds which are provided for deaeration of that condensate.this condensate enters the deaerator vessel at the atmospheric temperature.
just below the packings lp steam connetion for deaeration has been provided which remains...
In our diesel hydrotreator unit we are using automatic backwash filter for feed before it enters into the feed drum.from there it goes in to the reactor after heating.
this filter is supplied by Ronnigton peter which is of late showing more dp than before indicating that it has got some...
hi all,
this question concerns the hydrogen plant deaerator.
whenever we take the process condensate in the deaerator of our unit the conductivity goes very high i.e. 5-6.with only dmin water coming to the deaerator it is about 2.
and though all other parameters are within limits this we have...
we have ZnO bed at the outlet of hydrogenator,in fact we have two Zinc adsorbers and the last one in the series acting as a guard vessel to facilitate the online Zinc oxide changeover.
we have closed sampling system fo taking the sample.what specific sampling are you talking about?
